These hints and tips are here to keep things straightforward and practical. Some may feel familiar, others might offer a slightly different approach, but all are designed to make your move feel more organised, manageable, and far less stressful from start to finish.

Hints & Tips for your move

Pack an overnight bag. Toiletries, Clothes, Medication
Remove all nails and picture hooks from hall, stairway and landing in case we catch a mattress or a piece of furniture on them.
Arrange for someone to look after the children during the move (also domestic animals)
Declutter your home in advance - Clearing your home of any old, unwanted or unnecessary items before your move can save you time and stress, but it can also save you money!

Pets – Before you move, organise for a tag with name, and new address and telephone number and attach.
Electricity, Gas, Water and rating authorities. Advise date of change of address, arrange meter reading and disconnection of appliances
The last items on the van are the vacuum cleaner, tea pot and biscuits
Have some spare cash available for the journey. Have snacks and drinks available in case you have to wait for solicitors
